Customized and integrated
End Of Line Test at Pematech
We manufacture customized assembly and test lines for electronics production. We serve different industries, for example the automotive industry and its suppliers. Camera systems, radio keys, printed circuit boards for electric toothbrushes and many more have been assembled and tested on our lines. We combine assembly processes, depaneling and testing processes depending on what is needed for our customers' products and thus create fully automated complete solutions that are adapted to all requirements. We also use our test cells and test automation as end of line test. We offer industrial automation tailored to your needs!
Example System
At the end of a process line that includes depaneling, connector press-fit, and PCB insertion into the housing, we implemented an EOL (End of Line) test with six parallel stations for one of our customers in the automotive industry. The robot intelligently replaces the control units, tested for their overall functionality, ensuring that the fast cycle times are maintained.
Ensure quality and functionality
What is an End of Line Test (EOL Test)?
EOL test is a functional test of, for example, electronic components or printed circuit boards at the end of a production process, i.e. at the end of a line.
The main focus here is on testing the overall quality and functionality of the manufactured products, such as electrical components, parts and PCBs. The products are contacted and tested either via test point or via the device connector.
What are the advantages of End of Line testing?
There are several advantages if testing takes place at the end of a production process, i.e. end of line. Defects that occur within a production process can be detected in this way. In addition, the data paths for the test procedures can be kept short.
What is tested in the End of Line Test?
In the End of Line Test (EOL), electronic components, printed circuit boards or complete PCB panels are contacted and tested at predefined test points with spring-loaded contact pins. In this process, assembly, press-fit or soldering faults can be checked, short circuits and interruptions as well as faults and defects of components can be detected.
In the manufacture of electronic devices and their components and parts, product quality is of paramount importance, as defective components can have significant consequences and cause considerable expense. Electronic components are used in various industries, including the automotive industry, energy supply, healthcare, aviation, lighting industry, and the Internet of Things (IoT).
